Boston CyberArts is selecting short Experimental Animations and Video Art pieces for a screening theater at Midway Artist Studios.
We are looking for “art based” pieces to include within the 2024 program. These could be experimental animations (traditional or digital); sensory-based, experiential works; experimental art narratives; etc. Pieces that relate to themes within Boston’s Museum of Science; eco-futurism; social/environmental justice; or other topics from marginalized communities are encouraged.
A jury of professional Digital Media and Time-Based Artists will select pieces for (2) 30-minute programs. The budget for artist honorariums will be split equally among selected artists and may rage from $20-100 depending on the number of works in the program.
Artworks are shown in black box theater with stereo sound. Resolutions accepted include HD and 4k at ratios of 16:9 • 4:3 • 1:1 • 1.85:1
