TS/CN — Fusion Flow
Reviewed by Lauren Levato Coyne
Watching and listening to the pulsing of Fusion Flow on the five-story tall domed screen in the Mugar Omni theater is the only acceptable way to view this work from TS/CN. I watched it post-event on my iPad and there’s just no way to feel and understand the somatic and sensory thrum from a small screen. This is a moment where form and function are synced up to perfect effect. This was a way to feel again what it might have been like in-utero or to otherwise understand what the experience of touch is from the inside of our bodies. Or maybe it’s what our touch screens look at, feel, and sound like behind the screen? It’s probably both, or perhaps this is a predictive-model glimpse at a future digital skin. If so, the future looks beautiful.
